With the rising popularity of battery electric vehicles, our world is becoming more and more dependent on batteries, especially in transportation, mobility, and high-tech industries. These disruptive changes are driven by regulations and consumer demands (range, cost, sustainability, etc.). The complete value chain — from material suppliers to battery makers to automotive and high-tech OEMs — faces challenges designing and integrating high-energy and high-density battery systems.
These challenges make finding ways to optimize battery performance over a wide range of operating conditions while preventing safety issues and reducing battery costs of paramount importance. Batteries are highly complex systems that require advanced engineering methods at all levels, from chemistry to cell engineering, module and pack engineering, and integration into full vehicles.
This 60-minute Webinar explores how using a modern, end-to-end solution can help those along the battery value chain meet these growing engineering requirements.
Topics include:
- Electro-chemistry modeling to optimally design battery materials for aging
- 1D/system simulation for cells, modules, and packs
- Full 3D representation of battery cells, modules, and packs integrated into full vehicle models
- Simulation for realistic test conditions
An audience Q&A session will follow the technical presentation.
